I still haven't find the perfect place to read my RSS feeds... Any suggestions?

  • I use Google Reader for EVERYTHING I find and want to check back on occasionally.
  • I tried feedly for a while. It's pretty good, but I didn't like how it chose to present the feeds to me.
  • I like Netvibes, and use it as my homepage on all my computers, but I keep my feeds on separate tabs, and don't delve into them that often.
  • I briefly used Thunderbird as a reader, but never liked it (I always click through to interesting stories).
  • Standalone readers won't work for me for the same reason.
  • I don't like friendfeed for RSS either.

Is there anything else I could try? What do you use?

damn I was going to suggest the toilet until I realised you meant a web app :p

I use igoogle and my feeds split into sections and just scan the headlines.

I keep coming back to iGoogle, but I never get on with it. However, as it happens I am currently trying iGoogle again, and I like the Twitter, Identica and Ping.fm apps. It may end up being the winner :)

Hi. I am one of the developers of the feedly service. Sorry feedly did not work out for you. Was it something specific? We are trying to improve both the readability and productivity of feedly so please let us know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Edwin

Hi Edwin! Truthfully, I don't know what constructive criticism to offer. I felt confused by the presentation and was never sure I was getting a complete picture of all my feeds. You've inspired me to give it another try, so maybe I'll get back to you when I've had a more thorough look.
It couldn't hurt to let me use feedly *without* having to accept third-party cookies though ;)
Thanks for dropping by!

I will bring the third party cookie issue at our team meeting. (I know that we looked into it a couple of times in the past and we did not find a way to work around the problem without having to ask users for their username and password (which we do not want to) but I understand that it can be an turn off for people who care about their overall browsing privacy.
