Griffin Clarifi iPhone case: a mini review

I just received my Griffin Clarifi case today, and I'm pretty pleased with it. The results - as you can see for yourself - are reasonable. I want to be able to take pictures of ISBN numbers, QR codes and Geocaching travelbug numbers, so I consider this something to compensate for the poor iPhone camera, and not really a tool for taking real macro pictures. If you have a similar expectation, I don't think you will be disappointed.

The case itself is pretty smart and feels nice to the touch. It comes with a screen protector and a cloth too. Don't pay the £25 Carphone Warehouse want though, I got mine for £18 on Amazon, and there's currently a much better deal on Play.com.

I love my Griffin clarifi, it takes some amazing pictures (I take closeups of delicious food ) the only problem I have with it is the hard ridges on the inside of the case, it scratched my iPhone. The logo thing left an unsightly mark on it too. And make sure you don't have dusty pants because this thing attracts and cakes it on like no other. But it's great for evernote (I take pics of pages of my sources for essays and it makes readability + 300%) the case is awesome, and it's really useful for lots of things. Except taking pictures of barcodes. I was never able to make that stuff work.

Oh, and I'm never posting a comment on Posterous with my phone again. The keyboard lags like crazy.

I also found that the protective plastic needs to be perfectly centred, or the case will catch the edge of the sticky plastic and peel the edge off. Bummer.
